Dress of the Month ~ June

This stunning dress is Chantilly.

A semi-fitted gown with a gorgeous neckline and beautiful detailing.

The cap sleeves and ‘v’ shaped neckline in lace offer a demure cover up, which is perfect for a winter wedding or a bride looking for a little more coverage. The fitted silhouette of the satin skirt means this dress is far from frumpy – it oozes glamour and sexiness! The neckline suits girls with long necks and the cap sleeves show off toned arms. Our stock gown is in the alabaster shade, which is a rich dark ivory that looks amazing on brunettes and incredible on redheads. The diamond white colour option is a flattering choice for fair haired brides. It adds curves to athletic frames and exaggerates hourglass curves.

Right now this gown is my favourite because of the combination of the sparkly lace and sumptuous satin makes for a show-stopping wedding dress that is very different from the norm!

Put your best foot forward…

I love shoes! Shoes and bags are my biggest drug (not including chocolate). From boots to flip flops, stilettos to pumps, I love them all and I believe that a simple change of shoes can transform any summer look!

Anyone that knows me will know that I am completely and madly obsessed with Melissa shoes. I have so many pairs its crazy I especially love Melissa’s collaboration with fashion icon Vivienne Westwood. Recently I have been looking for a new pair that I could wear on a daily basis and have come across a pretty pair on the website AND they are on sale too! Only £25.00 reduced from £50.00, with free delivery you have no reason not to order. I am really into my colour blocking at the moment, so these ballet style pumps are perfect for me in bright blue. The shoes are called Melissa ultragirl ballet flat shoes and also come in a cute pink colour. A little about Melissa shoes, One of the biggest reasons I buy from the brand is because it is a completely sustainable footwear label and are 100% recycled rubber. All her shoes have a different scent that from experience never wear off, not even after a year of regular use, this blue pair have an infused scent of bubble-gum. I have just placed my order and cannot wait for them to arrive!

The next pair I have come across are a pair of lace up brogue type shoes in orange called Merrily, they are open lace-up shoes only from Topshop. I like that they are a more summery alternative to the original brogue type shoes, with cut out details and in such a summery colour too. They have recently been released, so not on sale, but they are still very affordable at only £28.00. They also come in cream and mint colours, but I much prefer the orange pair and would personally go for a boohoo style by pairing these with a floaty white dress, daisy chain hair garland and a nice long strapped brown bag.

Beach time fun I hear you say? You will definitely need a pair of trendy flip flops to keep your feet cool and happy! Im not a fan myself of showing off my feet but if you are, then these are a holiday suitcase must have. These Steven Madden Tropic flip flops in a nude colour are simple yet effective! I just love the feminine girly bow detail, plus the colour and style will go with everything! I recently bought a pair myself and can’t wait to bring them on holidays. They are also half price from at only £12.00 reduced from £25.00.

Already have a favourite pair of flip flops? Why not jazz them up with a clip or accessory? Lindsay Phillips have really cute sparkly sandal clip-ons in lots of different styles and colours for only £6.99 from I am a pink girl so my favourite design is the pink one with lots of shiny pink stones.

Next I need to include a pair of rock chick pumps. I am a bit of a rock chick at heart and style myself that way no matter what season, so a pair of edgy flats are a must for me all year round. Currently on the market are this beautifully studded black pumps, which are also available in cream from Zara. These could be worn with almost anything, but a more summery and on trend look would be with a nice pair of coloured trousers (Green would be perfect) matched with a fitted white top.

Lastly who loves preppy style? I do! So my final pair of shoes had to be a pair that could add that essential preppy look to any outfit! My favourite pair which are currently stocked in Office (currently on sale!) are these really lovely black leather/suede pair with an elegant badge style embroidered crest on the toes. Now only £45.00 with £10.00 off original price. But the stock is low and selling quickly so get down to Office asap to avoid disappointment!

Hope you guys enjoyed my Summery fashion foot wear walk through! Happy summer trekking!

Smooth Operator

I am asked on a regular basis about straightening systems and relaxing systems.
They are fantastic if you find the right system, one which gives conditioning and results together. I have found one such system and Im going to share my secret.
Introducing Award Winning ADVANTAGE, the latest treatment from Kebelo System.

Uncontrollable frizz, unruly curls, stubborn kinks , cow’s licks … let’s face it, for many of us, achieving a glossy mane of hair can be hard work. Sure, there are hair irons and straighteners that can do the trick, but they’re a temporary and time-consuming fix. So what’s a girl to do?

Enter Kebelo System’s Advantage treatment – the first in-salon treatment that promises smooth, frizz-free and, most importantly, healthy hair in just one hour, with results that last for at least 100 days.

Kebelo’s innovative formula is a true alternative for women wanting luscious but manageable hair. Rather than just the poker-straight look so popular in the 90s (The Rachel, anyone?), hair is left with a naturally glossy finish with lots of movement and ready for styling any way you want – much more on-trend for today’s woman.

What’s more, this is achieved within a simple, one-hour salon appointment. It’s a first ! Up to now, it has been the norm for straightening treatments to take around three hours, with you leaving the salon with a list of ‘dos and dont’s’, with the product remaining in their hair. After Kebelo’s Advantage treatment, you can leave with completely finished tresses, confident that you can wash and style and colour on the same day, if you so wished.

Of course, it’s one thing for you to leave the salon like you, well, ‘just stepped out of a salon’, but it’s quite another thing for you to wake up day-after-day with the same beautiful, easy to manage hair. Kebelo Advantage delivers exactly that. “Kebelo Advantage is a pioneering product,” . “It means hair professionals can truly give their customers what they have always lusted after – salon-finished hair that they can create at home”.
I can’t endorse this enough …….. the most amazing system I have came across !!

You are Number 1!

I recently had a bridal consultation with an unfortunate girl who was having the hardest time finding a wedding dress that suited her chosen theme and that also suited her. It got me thinking about the traditional order in which you are supposed to tackle the job on your wedding planning list, and how difficult you can make things by going out of sync.

This particular girl was letting the little details of how her reception would look dictate the wedding dress. In this case her vintage tea party theme expected a vintage looking wedding dress, but her body type just didn’t look good in any of them. She was putting too much focus onto theming her big day and forgetting to let herself enjoy the process. She was stressed and full of anxiety about finding a dress, whereas if she had taken the approach of letting the dress find her she’d have easily found her perfect wedding gown. Instead her tunnel vision was ruining what should be a really easy and fun experience.

Choosing your wedding dress shouldn’t be about looking like you’ve carefully constructed your wedding day vision – it is much more important that your dress suits and flatters you. So choose your dress first and let the rest of your wedding day look fall into place around it.

Likewise you shouldn’t choose your bridesmaids gowns before your wedding gown. The colour of your dress and its silhouette will dictate what your bridesmaids wear, so picking them first is a dangerous thing to do. If your bridesmaids are wearing full skirted dresses then it’ll look a bit odd if you are wearing a fitted fishtail. Likewise if you have chosen a bright purple shade for your girls you’ll be limiting yourself to cooler toned wedding dresses, as the warm toned shades can look sickly against it. It’s not wise to limit your own gown options right from the beginning.

The only things that you really must tackle before choosing your wedding dress are booking your church and reception venue, and if you want to be really organised your photographer and entertainment – everything else will fall into place once you’ve decided on your dress!

Allow yourself to be the centre of attention, you deserve it. Get your girls together and be rest assured that you are allowed to make the dress shopping all about you! Make a day of it, dress shopping should be enjoyable and very exciting!

So off you go – Relax and Have Fun!

Festival Fashion Survival Kit

Festival season is upon us and with the UK’s unpredictable weather, one must be prepared for the best – but also the worst! I’m here to provide you with a useful yet still stylish take on a festival survival guide.

My first must-have would have to be a pair of Wellie Boots. There are so many on the market at the moment from all different brands, but you don’t need to pay a fortune to get a cute pair that will do the job!My Favourites have to be the kind which are printed with adorable ditsy prints, big bold statement and placement prints, they really get my heart in a fluster. My favourite pair which I managed to find, are these pretty pink repeat print Sweet pea Wellies by “Doris”. They are currently available in Topshop at a bargain price of only £26.00.

Not only are they super trendy they are also 100% rubber/waterproof so you will surely maintain some happy feet.

Alternatively if you already have a much loved pair of trustly wellies why not give them a new life and glam them up with these fun decorative stickers from priced at only £6.00. Stickers include peacock feathers bows lace etc.

Whether it is beaming with sun-rays or pouring with rain, a good Mac is always a smart move as it will keep you dry as well as not being too warm and easy to carry around too if you need. I’m constantly on the lookout for a good mac or rain coat as our weather tends to be wet no matter what the season. At the moment there are a few I will be picking up myself but my favourite which happens to be currently on sale at would have to be an incredibly cute polka dot “Cath Kidston” raincoat in peacock blue and white. At only £22.00 reduced from £35.00 you need to be quick as it won’t be on sale for long.

Not essential or survival, but very on trend. Dress up your head with a delicate make believe daisy chain. Nearly every high street store has these in stock at the moment. I did purchase a cheap Primark one but it fell apart pretty quickly so save your cash and buy this white ditsy floral garland one from “New Look” priced £4.99. This one also comes in a peach colour but they do also sell slightly different styles in pinks, brights and feathers. Some are even buy on get one free. So pop over to the website and have a nosey.

At a festival, you need all the hand space you can get for dancing, drinks and hopefully not too horrible festival food. I find a messenger bag is the best way to store all your sun-cream, lip-gloss, phone and the rest of your bits and pieces. When it comes to bags personally I like to spent a little bit more to gain good quality as its something I would like to keep using over and over again. This black messenger bag with fringes on the lapel from Zara is small enough to use again after the festival but still has enough room for everything you will need. The shape is quite classy and the fringes adds a nice hippy chic look to it. At only £49.99, save the pennies and invest instead of getting a cheaper version that most likely wont last as long.

Let’s face it even when the suns not beaming sunglasses are way cool and get you in the mood for all the festival fun. With so many styles to choose from, it can be difficult to choose and you can’t really go wrong when it comes to festivals, so don’t worry. Again a bit expensive but worth it by far, Ray Ban are my favoured sun-glass provider. With so many shapes, styles and colours you are 100% guaranteed to get a pair that suits you. My most recent buy for S/S were these beautiful crystal brown lens, Havana brown frame with the Ray Ban logo on the arms glasses. Reduced from £130.00 to £110.00 on they are still quite costly but you have to think of them as being an investment not a splurge as these beauty’s will never go out of style.

Finally this bargain box of festival essentials will see that you survive a good few days without your home comforts. Packaged in a lovely illustrated cardboard case it features handy products like flushable toilet seat covers, lip balm, tissues, paper soap, hand & body wipes and wet wipes; there’s even an air freshener for the car ride home! Can’t go wrong for price at only £15.00 at and look how cute and quirky the packaging is ❤

Festival Essentials Kit

Hopefully this has been helpful and will enlighten your fun festival experience. I am in such a festival mood right now so everyone have fun and keep safe.

Glam up your Wedding Day with these Red Carpet Hairstyles…

It’s that time of year again, Wedding Season, and I’m sure more than one or two of us are invited to at least one this year. So to inspire you for glam hair, you can achieve yourself I looked to the Red Carpet Events.

Firstly we start off with Kylie, who effortlessly shows off this very simple but chic look.

The two key elements to this look are volume and the centre parting.

Achieving the volume in the look is going to be your foundation to this style. Start building the volume into the hair by starting to dry the hair putting your head upside down and drying the majority of the moisture out that way. When you lift you head back up amazing volume ! Then smooth out the ends and rest of the hair, with a big round brush.

HERO PRODUCT to sustain the volume all day and into the night, use Schwarzkopf Osis Dust It . Just lightly sprinkle the dust on the root area of the hair and Instant Volume that holds !!

Again the second key element to this style is the centre parting which is so hot on and off the catwalks at the moment …… gives it a go !

For shorter ‘bob’ length hair, you almost feel a little restricted as to what you can do to change it.

Nicole Kidman at Cannes has definitely given us a look bang on Trend with the Vintage feel, Perfect for your shorter hair.

We start by curling all the hair.

SESSION STYLIST TIP Ensure to only curl from the middle of the hair down that way you won’t lose too much length from it ‘springing’ up.

Run fingers all through the hair to get volume and a back-combed vintage look.

Take first section of your side parting and slick it back and tuck behind your ear, when slicking back brush with a natural bristle brush !

Then brush and slick parting side and clip, use a nice diamanté clip to add some bling and Vintage Glamour!

HERO PRODUCT: Schwarzkopf Osis 4-Play. Place just least than a 5p size amount of product in your hand, rub well into both hands then rub on smoothed areas to give a complete sleek finished look.

And to the Final Look, no wedding would be complete without giving you an upstyle !

To take a little bit of a twist on this style I decided to give you a style that was a little bit edgy and not traditionally wedding like !

I just love this glamorous but rebellious up-style which Kirsten Stewart pulled off !

Start by curling the hair, take big sections when curling so not to give a uniformed curl. When curled, spray with hairspray to seal in. Running your fingers through the curls quite strongly you want to have that nearly pulled out curl feel.

Now to start clipping it up !

Area 1: Take an area from temple to temple; this will be the section that creates your lift at the front giving you a bit of glam.

Pull this section back to clip just at crown area, put before clipping push forward to loosen hair to create the quiff.

Area 2 is from the temple to the ear, pull all this hair back to just below where you clipped the first section. Mirror this on the opposite side.

SESSION STYLIST TIP: Leave a gap in the middle of approx 2 inches to let fall and cascade down.

Area 3 is remaining hair from the ear to the bottom hairline , pull this straight back into the middle of the head clipping straight below where you clipped the last section creating nearly a Mohawk effect. Do exactly the same on the other side and you have yourself an up-style !

HERO PRODUCT: Now you have it all up, spray with Schwarzkopf Osis Sparkler Shine for that glossy red carpet finish !

So girlies lets Glam up these weddings making them a truly Red Carpet Event with our hair !!!!!
