Makeup of the Day – ‘Same Palette, Different Day’ (04-6-14)

I wanted to show the versatility of make-up and how you can create different looks with the one product. So for today’s MOTD, I used exactly the same make-up products as I did in my last MOTD post, but I used them in a slightly different way to create a more dramatic look.

The only thing I changed was the amount of the different colours in the eye-shadow palette and how I packed it on to create more depth of colour in the pigment. I also used a black eyeliner pencil as opposed to the white pencil in the last one.

Here you go, here is my look of the day. Let me know what you think ♥ (Larger photos below the product details).

Makeup of the Day (02/6/14)

Well today is my ‘Day-Off’ and I don’t have anything very exciting planned except heading out for lunch with my lovely hubbie and doing a bit of shopping for our Summer Holidays (Yippeeeee!)

So in terms of makeup I didn’t want to wear anything to heavy so I opted for a warm subtle smoky eye with some white pencil in the lower waterline to keep it light looking. I didn’t use any illuminators today as when I use the FOM Cosmetics Moisturiser and Hello Flawless Foundation together you get a lovely dewy finish to the skin.

So here you go, here is my makeup look for today. Larger Images and full product listing with links and prices are below.

Makeup Academy Cosmetics (MUA Cosmetics) – Undressed Palette

I think I have by now proved that it is a myth that Make-up Artists only stick to top market expensive beauty products. I have said this time and time again, I don’t care what the price tag is on make-up, if it does a good job, i’ll tell you about it.

I recently tried the MUA (Makeup Academy) Cosmetics, ‘Undressed‘ Palette. You get 12 lovely and very useable colours in this palette for only £4! In fact its actually sold out on the MUA website due to popular demand! You should be able to get this at your local Superdrug store though.

You can create a range of looks from natural to dramatic and well worth a try.

TIP: My tip for any palette like this is to always use an eye primer. It will make your life so much easier!

Have you tried it? What do you think of it?

♥ Autumn / Winter Make-up Tutorial – How to wear a Dark Berry Lip ♥

As promised, I am bringing you a tutorial for the 2nd of 3 looks which I created for the A/W 2012 Fashion Beauty Lifestyle Show in The Waterfront Hall in Belfast. This look was worn by some of the gorgeous models, strutting their stuff during the three Catwalk Shows.

This is a really simplistic, yet eye-catching look. Too often I see people trying to wear this Dark Berry Lip Colour with heavy eye make-up and it is so easy to get wrong. So I have put together this tutorial so you can learn how to create it for yourself in a matter of minutes.

You will look great rocking this look Day or Night!

As always, I love to hear your comments or if you have any questions about the products used, please leave a comment below.

Enjoy!

Today, Make-up Artist Nuala Campbell has created a tutorial video for all the Beauty Cloud fans to recreate one of her A/W Make-up looks which was showcased on the Catwalks at the Fashion Beauty Lifestyle Show in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast in October 2012. Follow her step by step tutorial to transform yourself into a beauty, fit for any Jet-Set lifestyle.

She's so Jet-setAt this years Fashion Beauty Lifestyle A/W show. I created 3 unique looks which are individual and eye catching. Not only that, but they are designed with you in mind. Today I am bringing you the first of three tutorials.

Today’s A/W make-up look is so versatile,  it can be worn during the day or night and will never look out of place.

It is created using only the new Benefit Cosmetics ‘She’s so Jet Set’ gift box. The box itself is loaded with great quality products with great pigment content so as far as value for money goes. This set is worth every penny and would even make a lovely Christmas pressie.

Have a watch at the tutorial video to create the stunning A/W 2012 look for yourself.

Feel free to leave me a comment to let me know how you get on creating the look for yourself.
