The Beauty Cloud’s Guide to Festival Hair

Fesitval Season can be a tricky one for us ladies when it comes to keeping those tresses tamed, so I’ve come up with an easy 4-Day guide to easy-to-manage hairstyles to ensure you stay looking gorgeous the whole time.

DAY ONE

Festival Hair says one thing to me Bohemian Glamour!!

4 Day Festival Hair Guide, House of Fraser, Hair Care, Products Aveda, Tierry Mugler, Chloe Anderson, JW Anderson, Belfast, Ireland, Hair, Beauty, Style

Curls and waves created by spritzing on AVEDA ‘BE CURLY’ ENHANCING SPRAY, then curling by patting GHD‘s over pin-curls formed by wrapping hair around 3-4 fingers giving unique curls and waves of all sizes and shapes. By using the ‘Be Curly’ and GHD’s this will give curls that will last and drop into soft waves in 3-4 days.

DAY TWO

Curls have dropped and dressed through naturally giving tousled informal curls and waves. If you have any frizzing, 2-3 spritz of Be Curly Spray again will tame it down.

Lift the front of your brow with a plait creating a practical but kooky twist to the look.

DAY THREE

By now the curls have relaxed into irregular waves. Scoop the hair back off your face with two effortless plaits joining into one creating some boho chic.

If our festival babes are feeling a tad un-fresh a mist of TIERRY MULGER ANGEL PERFUMING HAIR MIST will have you feeling as fresh as a daisy!

 DAY FOUR

Continuing on with some bang on-trend plaits simply just pull hair all to one side, letting shorter layers drop softly then plait loosely into a two-strand plait creating a fishtail, giving a Boho finale to our festival style!!

Fake me up and call me Healthy!

As the popularity of fake tan continues to grow, there are still many people out there who are either fully against it, or curious, but terrified of using it…in case they end up with the most feared word in the fake tan dictionary…streaks!

I use fake tan weekly, and have done for the last 6 years. I have tried pretty much all of the spray tans, instant tans and gradual tans out there! And like most women, I do not have perfect skin, I suffer from dry patches, oily patches, the occasional break out and other issues that we all have to contend with. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a gorgeous, year round tan!

And like most women, I do not have perfect skin, I suffer from dry patches, oily patches, the occasional break out and other issues that we all have to contend with. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a gorgeous, year round tan! And I am constantly asked...How do you get it to look so natural? How do you get it even all over? How do you blend it with your make up? To which my answer is always...It’s really very simple. Fake tan conjures up a lot of negative opinions. The word ‘fake’ for a start is not one which is welcomed by everyone. But if faking it means I can have a healthy, natural looking tan, without any worry of future skin problems, then lather me down and call me a fake! There are loads of tips and techniques to get a perfect fake tan. These vary depending on the type of tan you are using. Over the next few weeks, I will review various tans and discuss all of the vital elements - smell, consistency, how to apply, time it takes to dry, time it takes to develop, the end result and how long it lasts. Getting the right shade is also important, but don’t be afraid to try out a few until you find the one that suits you the most. Remember, it is not permanent! If you are not happy, scrub off and try again. So if you have never tried fake tan before and want to find out what you are missing then I can most certainly help you! If you have tried it, but not had much luck...then don’t give up on us! Or if you are already a fan of the tan, allow me to test drive the products first, to ensure your pennys are spent on the right product for you!

‘Sheer’ Summer Fashion 2013

Sheer fashion is the ultimate statement trend for Spring/Summer 13!  It has been all over the runways this season.  Sheer can be worn classy or sassy, your outfit could just have panels of sheer or it could be totally see through for a seductive look!  It’s entirely up to you! I’ve searched online for the sheer trend on the high-street. Here are some of my best picks! (Click on the images to whizz straight to the shop’s website)

I think this is a perfect summer dress for going out in. It is practical and comfortable. I love the uneven hemline and the floaty movement of the fabric. It is the kind of dress that can be dressed up or worn casually. To dress it up I would add a pair of stilettos and a delicate bracelet with a detailed necklace and possibly a metallic belt. This dress would work well with sandals or wedges also.  A vest top in a contrasting colour such as red or white would add more colour to the dress if you wanted a casual look. Available at ASOS.com

I really love this sheer jacket. It is the perfect summer jacket and is the kind of garment that will go with anything you chose to team it up with. I would wear it with light blue skinny jeans and wedges with a plain, strong coloured vest top and a long necklace to create a casual summer look. Available at Urban Outfitters.

I love the colour of this dress. It is so fresh and summery. I think the sheer overskirt moves beautifully when walking and really makes the dress. I would change the belt and team the belt with the colour of the accessories. I think strong bright colours such as pink and maroon would work well with the colour of this dress. Colourful bracelets are a must for this outfit.

This is a midi dress with a spilt hem and sheer panels. I think the sheer panels contrast well with the material of the dress and create a unique look. I would wear this with black heels and black/silver bracelets for a classy and sophisticated summer look. Available at TOPSHOP.
