Milan Fashion Week AW15 Makeup Trends

I had the pleasure of working on the makeup team at a few of the shows at Milan Fashion Week this season and wanted to share some of the images with you. The collections and makeup were all totally different for each designer, but equally as beautiful.

The Beauty Cloud’s Guide to Festival Hair

Fesitval Season can be a tricky one for us ladies when it comes to keeping those tresses tamed, so I’ve come up with an easy 4-Day guide to easy-to-manage hairstyles to ensure you stay looking gorgeous the whole time.

DAY ONE

Festival Hair says one thing to me Bohemian Glamour!!

4 Day Festival Hair Guide, House of Fraser, Hair Care, Products Aveda, Tierry Mugler, Chloe Anderson, JW Anderson, Belfast, Ireland, Hair, Beauty, Style

Curls and waves created by spritzing on AVEDA ‘BE CURLY’ ENHANCING SPRAY, then curling by patting GHD‘s over pin-curls formed by wrapping hair around 3-4 fingers giving unique curls and waves of all sizes and shapes. By using the ‘Be Curly’ and GHD’s this will give curls that will last and drop into soft waves in 3-4 days.

DAY TWO

4 Day Festival Hair Guide, House of Fraser, Hair Care, Products Aveda, Tierry Mugler, Chloe Anderson, JW Anderson, Belfast, Ireland, Hair, Beauty, Style
Curls have dropped and dressed through naturally giving tousled informal curls and waves. If you have any frizzing, 2-3 spritz of Be Curly Spray again will tame it down.

Lift the front of your brow with a plait creating a practical but kooky twist to the look.

DAY THREE

4 Day Festival Hair Guide, House of Fraser, Hair Care, Products Aveda, Tierry Mugler, Chloe Anderson, JW Anderson, Belfast, Ireland, Hair, Beauty, Style

By now the curls have relaxed into irregular waves. Scoop the hair back off your face with two effortless plaits joining into one creating some boho chic.

If our festival babes are feeling a tad un-fresh a mist of TIERRY MULGER ANGEL PERFUMING HAIR MIST will have you feeling as fresh as a daisy!

 DAY FOUR

4 Day Festival Hair Guide, House of Fraser, Hair Care, Products Aveda, Tierry Mugler, Chloe Anderson, JW Anderson, Belfast, Ireland, Hair, Beauty, Style

Continuing on with some bang on-trend plaits simply just pull hair all to one side, letting shorter layers drop softly then plait loosely into a two-strand plait creating a fishtail, giving a Boho finale to our festival style!!

Makeup of the Day (07/06/14)

My Makeup of the Day is not for the faint-hearted. I was pretty disappointed in how the poor the photos were to be honest. What you can’t see is that the darkest parts of my brow is actually a dark purple glitter gel, so it sparkled when I moved. Anyhooooo, this isn’t my actual makeup I decided to wear today, more of a mess about this morning. I had wanted to try and get some matching Ombre lips done too but ran out of time in between clients.

My brows are a Pink to Purple Ombre and I seriously think I would consider rocking it on a regular day…. so get your sunglasses on Belfast as you may just see me out and about with some neon brows 🙂

To create this whole look I used two products:

Sleek Makeup i-Devine Eyeshadow Palette – Ultra Matte – £7.99

Illamasqua – Sealing Gel – £7.00

Make-up of the Day (05-06-14)

Oh I LOVE playing with new Palettes. This is the second of the two new palettes I bought from the Makeup Pro Store in Belfast. It is my Make-up Atelier Paris and is so versatile.

I woke feeling a little under the weather today so I’m feeling the need to smoke it out a bit. I didn’t sculpt my brows too much today as I am in and out of business meetings all day and don’t want to frighten anyone when up close and personal haha.

I actually used the Eyeshadow Palette to shade my brows a little so they are well matched. I just applied a bit of clear brow gel to my brows first and then used a thin angle brush to shade.

Here is my Make-up of the Day – As per usual, larger images are at the bottom.

Makeup of the Day (02/6/14)

Well today is my ‘Day-Off’ and I don’t have anything very exciting planned except heading out for lunch with my lovely hubbie and doing a bit of shopping for our Summer Holidays (Yippeeeee!)

So in terms of makeup I didn’t want to wear anything to heavy so I opted for a warm subtle smoky eye with some white pencil in the lower waterline to keep it light looking. I didn’t use any illuminators today as when I use the FOM Cosmetics Moisturiser and Hello Flawless Foundation together you get a lovely dewy finish to the skin.

So here you go, here is my makeup look for today. Larger Images and full product listing with links and prices are below.

The Perfect Wedding Companion for any Bride – ‘Agent Zero Shine’

Benefit Cosmetics never stop improving and developing their products. They have recently released a new ‘The Porefessional – Agent Zero Shine‘.

Porefessional, benefit cosmetics, agent zero shine, minimise pores, reduce shine, zero shine, agent zero shine, nuala campbell, makeup, powder, makeup artist. belfast,

This product has been designed to minimise the appearance of shine and pores. What I love about it is, that it’s a ‘complete product’. By that mean, you don’t need to carry around separate brushes or accessories to apply it. Everything you need is right there. It packs a very handy sized brush in the bottom of the bottle.

Sweep on moisturised skin or over makeup to instantly mattify your complexion. Touch up over makeup during the day…or whenever shine dares to return.

I think this product is great for anyone to top-up or set your makeup, but also how amazing is this for Brides! One of the biggest problems faced by brides is the ability to stay shine-free when you are running about in a Cinderella gown all day and night. This handy little bottle is small enough to fit into the smallest of clutch bags and easy enough to whip out and use in seconds.

It really is a very smart new product by Benefit Cosmetics and honestly, I expect nothing less from them.

This gorgeous product is priced at £23.50 (or $30.00). I would like to add that a little of this product goes a long way. This would last for months on end in my opinion. A great investment for girls-on-the-go!

Available at any Benefit Cosmetics store or counter, or online at www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk or www.benefitcosmetics.com

Make-up and Cosmetics are ever evolving and False Lashes should be no different

Make-up and cosmetics are ever evolving and false lashes should be no different. Gone are the days of heavy clumpy eyelashes.

Introducing the new KISS Looks So Natural Lashes. I was sent a range of these new eyelashes to try out and I don’t mean it lightly when I say that these lashes are amazing! I went straight for the more dramatic of the new collection first – I chose the ‘Iconic’.

Kiss Lashes, looks so natural, launch, new, fake, falsies, false, lashes, eyelashes

The effect was both dramatic and subtle at the same time, is that even possible? It is now! The lashes so were light making them very easy to apply. I had both lashes glued and applied in under a minute. They are super easy to manipulate meaning they fit every eye-shape. So if you have had trouble with eye-lashes coming loose at the corners in the past, worry no more, these will mould effortlessly to your eyelids.

One of the things that make these lashes so natural is the very latest and innovative tapered end technology. Where most other lashes have abrupt squared ends, these new lashes by kiss are tapered to look more like our own lashes, meaning the blend easily.

Within seconds of applying these lashes, I honestly wouldn’t have known they were there. In fact, I had to keep checking in the mirror that they were still on as I just couldn’t feel them.

I have been sent 4 out of the 6 different styles in the lashes including ‘Shy’, ‘Vamp’, ‘Iconic’ and ‘Pretty’. They range from Natural to Dramatic, meaning they are perfect for every occasion.

These lashes launch today and are exclusive to Boots in the UK. For such a high quality product, you will be very pleased to hear that these lashes are priced at only £4.49 each.

I can’t recommend these lashes enough. If you have struggled to apply or get used to wearing lashes in the past, these are definitely the way to go!

Let me know when you give these a try and what you think of them, leave me a comment below.
